We are now six years old!
Cultural Energy is a nonprofit organization formed in 2003 to create radio and other media productions for Northern New Mexico.
Our independent organization is building multimedia news and cultural resources for rural Northern New Mexico. We were granted a construction permit on Feb 25, 2010 for 7,000 watt Digital TV station, KCEI-LD at Channel 18. As well as our planned new FM educational 9,000 watt radio station at 89.5 FM, we continue to expand our web coverage of Northern New Mexico.
KTAO has changed their schedule and we are no longer on Thursday nights. All our shows continue on-line here Listen to KLDK 96.5 LPFM Dixon Mon-Thurs at 11:30 am
We need recording equipment! After 5 years of heavy use, all our minidisc recorders are dying. Please consider donating to Cultural Energy so we can purchase new flash recorders to cover public meetings and cultural events.
To the right are images of two of the great recorders that we need . The best, the Sony PCM-D50 is $500. Almost as good, the Olympus LS-10, is $350. We need at least two recorders, and could easily use as many as five, so our youth and volunteer producers can check them out to record their shows and interviews.
Thanks to Miguel Santistevan & Sol Feliz Farm for his donation of a Sony PCM-D50 with support from the Kindle Foundation.
Call 758-9791 to learn how to become involved by volunteering or producing your own segments. We need volunteers for interviewing, writing, photographing, videography, editing, cataloging segments, developing music and public affairs programming, fundraising and outreach, training youth and more.
Our production facility includes a recording studio, a mixing and editing room, a meeting/class room and high speed Internet access.
Juan Khweis and Justin Baily 4:30 on Tuesday Nov. 4 2008 Listen on Line to Juman talk about the volunteer effort for Obama. She is working on an audio documentary on the 88 students she recruited.
We are now starting New Public Radio and TV Stations
