Juman Khweis, RJ Chavez & Rebecca Embler interview Congressman Tom Udall in 2005
On April 3, 2012, Cultural Energy purchased another small radio station, 90.1 FM, now re-named KCEI. This lower powered station will provide coverage to communities north of Taos, and get on the air sooner. On Sep 9, 2011 the FCC granted us a construction permit for a 9,000 watt Educational FM Radio station, KCEY at 89.5 FM. providing coverage to the south, west & east. We also have a CP for a 7 kW watt Digital TV station, KCEI-LD at Channel 18.

Cultural Energy is a nonprofit organization formed in November 2003 to create radio and other media productions for Northern New Mexico.
Cultural Energy has moved to new headquarters at 125 A La Posta, Taos. This is across the street from Albertsons and Wired Cafe, next to the Taos Integrated School of the Arts. Our independent organization is building multimedia news and cultural resources for rural Northern New Mexico.
We are now starting New Public Radio and TV Stations for Taos & Northern New Mexico
Serving the Acequia and Pueblo communities of Northern New Mexico Please call or email us if you are interested in volunteering or being part of Public Affairs Programing, Music Programing, or Membership Committees
|
| Call 758-9791 to learn how to become involved by volunteering or producing your own segments. We need volunteers for interviewing, writing, photographing, videography, editing, cataloging segments, developing music and public affairs programming, fundraising and outreach, training youth and more.
